Making it wild at South Walney

Where’s it being held: South Walney Nature Reserve, Walney Island, Barrow-in-Furness

What’s happening: Activities will include taking down electric fencing, maintaining trails and hides, clearing scrub and cutting a new trail ready for summer 2013. This is a great way to learn something new and meet new friends. Please wear outdoor clothing and bring a packed lunch. Children under 16 years of age are welcome if accompanied by an adult. If you’re looking for an active day where you can do your bit for local conservation this is a great choice. Stay at the Guest House and you can not only take advantage of our great room rates but also relax in one of well appointed bathrooms and even use our custom built drying room if your clothes get a little bit too muddy.
